KING'S PRESCHOOL - STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

• To honor God by providing quality care and facilitating growth in the lives of young children in a loving and safe environment where they can develop spiritually as they grow emotionally, physically, cognitively, and socially.

• To provide a Christian service to the families and children of the community.

• To support the values of the Christian home.

• To foster learning and allow the child to develop socially in an age-appropriate environment including :
  • Beginning language skills
  • Letter recognition and introduction to phonics
  • Number recognition and introduction to basic math concepts
  • Strong emphasis on children’s literature
  • Bible stories and verses
  • Music
  • Open-ended art activities
  • Science, through hands-on introduction to God’s world
  • Social interaction
  • Large and small-muscle motor skill development
  • Field trips and special event days

• To provide facilities where all are welcome regardless of race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin.

          Hours of Operation:   

King’s Preschool will be open Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Operating Schedule:

We will have a traditional program September – June. The latter part of June – August will be a summer program with a separate tuition cost.

Infant to 5 years

Holidays observed:

All national holidays are observed.  For 209-2010, we will also be closed during Thanksgiving week November 25th-27th; Christmas December 23rd-January 1st; and Spring Break March 29th - April 2nd.

Teacher In-Service:

2-4 times per year we will close ast noon for staff training and growth.

Hot Lunches:

Available Mondays and Fridays.  Fee is $4 per day.  Sign up and pay on a monthly basis only.

Admission:

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or ethnic origin. However, we cannot guarantee enrollment to all who apply. We reserve the right to prioritize enrollment contingent upon the following criteria;

·         Faculty and Staff Children

·         Sibling of current K-8 families

·         Local Pastor’s children

·         Children from single parent homes

·         Families with multiple children

·         Families with one child

Class Size:

·         One Infant class - up to 8 childrens

·         One Toddler Class - up to 10 children

·         One 2 Year old class - up to 16 children

·         One 3 Year old class - up to 20 children

·         One 4 Year old class - up to 36 children

Clothing:

Clothing should be functional and appropriate for preschool activities such as sitting on the floor, painting and playing outside.

TUITION SCHEDULE FOR 2009-2010

Application Fee                               $100 per child (non-refundable)

Enrollment Fee                                $250 per child

Tuition Payment:

King’s Preschool tuition is based on 36 teaching weeks. Tuition cost is based on an annual amount that extends from September to June. Summer enrollment during July and August is additional and is based on the schedule selected. You have the option to pay September through June tuition in full or pay in ten monthly installments. If at any time you decide to withdraw your child from our program, a 30 day notice must be given and refunds will be prorated.

School Days are 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Half Days are 7:30 a.m. to Noon OR 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

5 Half Days                 M-F     $405.00
